What do your sneakers say about you?

If those sneakers happen to be Chuck Taylor All Stars, chances are they tell quite a story. In celebration of 100 years of its iconic Chuck Taylor All Star Shoes, the “Made By You” campaign paid homage to the artistic spirit of the people who wear them. What starts as a blank canvas gets defined by every scuff, stain and doodle - all helping to shape it’s story. Every pair is made by you.
We created a space where celebrities and friends could hang out during London Fashion Week. Part gallery, part club – we handed over the space to London’s most exciting creatives, such as Kate Tempest and Swim Deep, and let them throw their own parties. The centrepiece of the space was an art installation. We collaborated with Central St Martin students, armed with Polaroid cameras; they hit the streets of London taking thousands of polaroids of Londoners wearing their Chucks and sharing their Six Word Stories. We took these images and turned them into an anamorphic art installation. The installation was a map of London, only recognisable from certain vantage points revealing London and our Chuck wearers. The position of each photo on the map is from the location captured.
